I love their stationery and boxes, bit pricy, but then again its really nice. also like the logo and their its not wrong to think inside a box… I am using their envelopes for my invites.

Printers

After months of running around from bras basah to geylang looing for a printer that was reasonable and had good quality work. I finally found one a month ago through my agent. Sue at Lithographic. She is great and was really helpful with some ideas of what could work, as my inital design was over the budget. Well I finally got my invites today and they were pretty nice. Now have to wait for one more piece to be delivered next week, I am set.

Saw this interesting website. Really nice and clean layout with interesting work. Design studio in a house at Holland Village, run by a husband and wife team. Very nice work.

Always thought it was a bit annoying, the visit Australia ad with the tag line, but it stuck, guess doing it job. However I saw this ad at a bus stand , and was surprised to notice the missing “bloody”. You may or may not know of the controversy it created (google it). You can see the ad on cable tv in singapore with the original “where the bloody hell are ya?”, but in print, in public space apparently singapore has decided to censor it to “So where are you”.

Sounds pretty lame to me.

Arab Street / Haji Lane

Went over to haji lane in arab street to for some shi shas (hookah) and some baklawah, but it was so hot and humid, forgot about the baklawah, damn!
On the way back saw this interesting door handle, and the number 21.

Piled Up

Singapore… generally known as a safe city, accidents do happens and I happened to see the remains of one. A car piled up on top of another, I have no idea of how this could have possibly happen, the angle is just plain weird, had to snap out the phone and take a quick pic.

Want free broadbrand, just flush. Google is promoting free internet broadband with a setup that involves you flushing down a cable line down you toilet. I was not sure whether to laugh or just be amazed. If this works like its supposed to, you would get a read out of your dietary habits, etc… to flush or not to flush is the question.

HUGE helvetica cake to celebrate the 50 years of helvetica. 1000 pt size. It must have been fun cutting it.
